I feel sorry for Aunty but if breakups are music related then my ex has no excuse. I never listened to anything that I liked whilst spending time with her as she called it "COMPUTER MUSIC" . Now free I can listen to my hearts content. Duncan dum di dum toodle peep --http://www.sloppy-butter.com--
I have discovered that music policy is now one of the first things to check with any new squeeze. I endured most of last year to the strains of The Pixies, Electric Six and The Darkness (o Lord take me now) before I saw sense and realised I hadn't listened to a decent album end-to-end for a few months. I even did the honourable thing and went along to see Elvis Costello and of all bands The Bangles with her. But when it came to 'Do you fancy going to see The Orb in Hackney?' it was met with a 'not my scene, go by yourself!' so I took my ex along instead 8) Although not a full on Orbette she fully appreciates LX and inexplicably loves his baldy head (must be a girl thing) and is always asking for a rip of my latest CDs/downloads. It's so true how you don't know what you've got until it's gone 8( Strange how girls seem to have this wonderful duplicity when it comes to things like this. I'd love to know from the girls on this list (there must be more than just our delectable Rachel) if they have any similar problems with their blokes and their choice of music? Can a raver really co-habit in aural bliss with a rocker? My advice; if music be the food of love make sure you both like eating out at the same restaurant first. heh. if it makes you boyz feel any better, my last significant *claimed* to like the Orb, and then suddenly decided to abandon all techno in favour of 80s rock and country! (in other words, i got the bait and switch!) how unfair is that? to his credit, he did come to a few Orb shows, but i forced to repay the favour by attending, get this, Jimmy Buffet concerts - eeeww! =) rachel
