OT: 26 mixes 4 cash (and Curve)
I'm a huge Curve fan and I have to say that Aphex Twin's remix of "Falling Free" (an old Curve b-side) is really interesting but doesn't contain any recognizable remnant of that Curve song. It's one of those Aphex remixes where you wonder if it really contains anything of the original, or if it's just a remix in name only. Actually they played the Aphex remix on WFMU (wfmu.org, check out Clay's "Pounding System," there are tons of archives and he occasionally plays the Orb) here in New Jersey a couple of weeks ago and it sounded more speeded-up than I remembered it. Since the remix was originally on vinyl and didn't specify 33 or 45 rpm then maybe I have been listening to it at the wrong speed all this time! Hey DJ Monolith, whaddya mean, Curve is awesome "with the exception of the latest CD?" You don't think "The New Adventures of Curve" is their best ever?! (www.curve.co.uk) -Ike
