<< Nowadays, of course, both hardware and software is comparable, but Macs still remain a favourite with musos! >> people use what they are familiar with. and i know that i have seen a few bands with PCs. mostly you see Mac laptops. i think that Her Space Holiday used a PC, and i saw some band who had a PC laptop turned so that i could see the display. and dear god they were using Win 98 -- i kept joking that the thing was goign to crash during the show. i think that was Moreland Audio, and Atlanta band.... but yeah, it is possible to do this stuf with anything. but people use what they know. and as far as Aphex Twin -- i thought he did a whole tour with an IBM ThinkPad, back when laptops were really taking off....
