Yazoo?!? Jesus. I hadn't even thought of them in years. I still have that first album. This would be "of the moment" I guess: 01-Beatles 01-Beck (Sea Change is unbelievably beautiful though I've been a huge fan for ages) 02-Amon Tobin 02-FSOL 03-Orbital 03-David Bowie (Eno collaborations especially) 04-Brian Eno 04-Material 05-System 7 05-William Orbit (Their are two albums that get him on this list: Strange Cargo-Hinterland and Torch Song-Towards the Unknown Region which are both sublime. I am prepared to be slagged over his inclusion.) 06-Talking Heads 06-B-52s 07-R.E.M. (back before Stipe decided to be audible) 07-Pink Floyd 08-ELP 08-Genesis 09-PIL 09-Ministry 10-Butthole Surfers 10-Banco de Gaia 10-Devo There were a lot of ties at this particular moment... _________________________________ www.psychicreform.com Change your mind. _________________________________ "Life is a round of miniature golf only larger, and with a more ambiguous final score." -- Zippy the Pinhead _________________________________

Saw Alan's top 10 post and noticed he put Genesis.....I would of put them on my list, but I felt I had enough prog rock up there.... I never see anyone cite Genesis as an influence on electronic music, and that makes me sad. I always thought Tony Banks' keyboard work was the most tasteful of the "prog rock" keyboardists...he was kinda like a human arpeggiator. Plus, no other band has revolved around a booming bass pulse like genesis. The lamb Lies Down on Broadway is easily one of my top ten favorite albums of all time. As I cuddle the porcupine.....
