This is one file. 1996or~1 -- This is broken into 13 tracks. The last is some pathetic, clueless dj from KROQ in Pasadena. It was a show played in a national forest somewhere. I'd love to get a board mix without the dj interruptions. 1997bo~1 -- This one is in 10 tracks which are named as follows: Cd101s~1.mp3, Cd102t~1.mp3, Cd103b~1.mp3, Cd104b~1.mp3, Cd105d~1.mp3, Cd201o~1.mp3, Cd202a~1.mp3, Cd203l~1.mp3, Cd204s~1.mp3, Cd204s~1.mp3, Cd205t~1.mp3. It sounds like it was recorded from the audience (very good quality but lots of crowd noise). 1997gl~1 -- This is in 9 tracks and is kind of decipherable. Since the only thing I ever got to see them do live was the "Greatest Hits" tour (yawn)... oh well. Speaking of Thrash, I've been trying to get into the KDX thing as I've finally got a couple of free hours to download stuff and I keep getting "Remote host refused connection." What does this mean? That clueless dj from KROQ happens to be Jed the Fish, and he actually probably one of the few radio djs I can stand, and he plays Blue Room (uses it as his background music when he talks) every day, in fact I actually enjoy his rambling on...so think again before you trash one of the few radio djs that will play the Orb...I remember he even played Once More when that first came out... I have to agree with Bob. Jed knew his shit and he was the only reason i would ever tune into KROQ, the supposed "alternative" station. And besides, that Orb set was something like 3:30 in the morning to 5am...i'm sure that even if jed hadn't ingested any drugs, the sleep deprivation would be enough to make him sound kinda crazy. and the show you are talking about is Organic 96 which also had Chem Bro's, Orbital, and Underworld. The DJ/announcer during the set is Jed, the one after the set ("heroin music") is Spacin' Scott Mason, who was KROQ's chief engineer for a long time, and who did the sunday morning "Public Service" show for a number of years (which started right after the Orb's set in this case). At one point, Jed did a late-night all-Orb set on KROQ, something like 90 minutes or 2 hours...I wish I'd taped that...
