Im pretty sure all those broadcasts were in the standard quality real audio which is 128k at best, probably worse depending on how good the rippers original connection was.
Yeah, exactly. This is admittedly a very nitpicky discussion and one with which I've alredy grown bored, but my point was that no uncompressed redbook audio CD of that radio broadcast exists (at least to my knowledge), so any first-generation rip of the original internet stream at just about any bitrate is inherently going to sound better than the twice-ripped 320Kbps file the original poster was crowing about. I guess I only replied in the first place because the whole notion of twice-ripped, twice-compressed "320Kbps" files floating around really raises my audio nerd hackles. FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS RE-RIP CDs THAT WERE BURNED FROM COMPRESSED FILES IN THE FIRST PLACE. JG
