So can anyone give us the "Lowdown" on Adrian sherwood? All I can find out is that he seems to be a bit of a Dubmiester boy, anyone seen him perform before? Also-of all the times I have seen The Orb,I have never seen Mr.Fehlman perform with them before,i take it he does now what say witchman did at the most recent gigs i saw them just stand on the big fuck off sound desk? Or am I wrong? I am a bit dubious as I believe the man in question to be a minimalist if "Okie dokie" is anything to go by..................? I've never seen him perform but I know he formed On-U Sounds in the 70s which was a reggae/dub label in the UK. In the 90's he started Pressure Sounds which re-issued old reggae stuff. That's about the extent of my knowledge about him. I really like the Prince Far-I and the Arabs release I have from Pressure Sounds but am not a fan of the Dub Syndicate CD I have that was released on On-U. Adrian's claim to fame came from his fusion of dub techniques with the post-punk regime/sounds of the 80s (he was a legendary remixer), along with his love/propigation of old dub as mentioned above - and his African Head Charge project.
Many know Sherwood for his Depeche Mode remixes fvll bla blazo wrote:
