Damn, they just took it off the site. I wonder if the person who sold it was in a hurry to get it off... $202 is crazy -- it wasn't even a bootleg, just 3cdr's. crazy... =========== For all those that didn't get to see it before it was taken off, it was an ebay auction for 3cdrs of a groovetech session. They sold for $202.50 =========== -----Original Message----- From: orb-admin@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-admin@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Brian Frick Sent: Sunday, April 21, 2002 10:53 PM To: orb@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: [Orb] you've GOT to be kidding me... $202.50 for a frigging bootleg?! Heh. Both of those people regularly sell stuff they've downloaded...and there is some reason to suspect that they may be the same person. In any case, given Courtney's previous behaviour, she certainly isn't about to make good on that debt. AFAIC, they can bid on each other's stuff 'til the cows come home... BTW, the 4/18/02 set hasn't appeared in the Groovetech archive yet; did LX actually do one? (And if so, did this joker record it live (for even worse quality), or does he simply not know what he's doing?) Chris (who was amused when he noticed the outcome of this auction)
I don't follow. Courtney has a spotless feedback rating. No matter, I looked at the sellers other auctions. This person makes them look like decent bootlegs and has sold other teatimes, as well. I thought ebay prohibited auctions like that...? -----Original Message----- From: orb-admin@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-admin@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Chris Johnson or Shannon Beets Sent: Sunday, April 21, 2002 11:05 PM To: orb@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: [Orb] you've GOT to be kidding me... bi11i wrote:

Getting a little OT here but; 'That Elvis mix' was played by Sara Cox on the Radio 1 breakfast show this morning (Mon) while I was driving into work. That can only mean one thing, Radio 1 are starting to build as much spin on this track so that it will be at No 1 in a month or so. It was even commented that if this reaches No1 then Elvis will have a record number of No1 hits (he is currently level pegging with the Beatles). Be prepared for it to be on every peer-to-peer and coming out of every radio very soon. It may even make it to TOTP. Unwrap those C90s and have your fingers poised by that pause button. so my question is this: Is the Elvis mix done by Alex and Co. or was it just something he's been playing...? --- JC DERRIEN <derrien@club-internet.fr> wrote:

Presenters on Radio 1 have been saying it's by JXL, who I imagine is possibly Junkie XL. Be prepared to be sick to death of this track. I know i'm already close. G

Yep, this is correct, the track is done by JunkieXL. Here's the link to his website: http://www.junkiexl.nl/index2.html Greetz, RJ --- Dark Eyed Kid <darkeyedkid@ntlworld.com> wrote:

I still cannot find out who remixed it but I have found this interesting article which contains a link to a video of the Nike ad :- http://www.msnbc.com/news/736905.asp And of course the Elvis site itself with more links http://www.elvis.com/news/nike_ads.asp It would seem that this is only the thin end of the wedge... Still no blooming mention of who remixed it tho. Surely someone on this list has Alex's ear and can either confirm or deny if he had a hand in it or where he found it.... bi11i@yahoo.com wrote:
