A trainspotter question...does the Australian release of B&T differ from the UK version at all? Does it indicate "made in Australia" or something? Thanks for any help. Chris
I do not have a copy of the UK release to compare it to. However nowhere on the case, book, or cd, does it say Australia or UK. jon

What the hell is that Aftermath song?! Can you *honestly* tell me its Orb? It sounds nothing like the Orb at all! The MC, the cheesy beats, the lack of depth or texture... If this is what we have to look forward to on the release day... =( On Apr 27, 2004, at 11:36 PM, Chris Johnson wrote:

SoomT from MonkeyTribe (remember that set that Alex did with them awhile back?) The promo I heard was actually MUCH better than the Japan release, and nothing else on there had any lyrics (except for From a distance, which has been remixed and although better, not great, imho) I bought a couple monkeytribe singles and really dig SoomT's voice, but it does sound a bit out of place on the album..... THANK YOU Rachel for summing it up better than I could myself :-/ WHAT A LOAD OF SHIT!!!! :-( The Orb? No, try "bullshit ghetto rap." WEAK!!!!!!
Just received my copy of Aftermath promo and its great, and now ive heard it a few times it sounds exactly like the orb jason your brain must be not between your ears or something it sounds similar to Robert Fripp on guitar too :)))))) and also slight noodlings of Gee Strings :) So suck on there Aftermath. The Hybrid mix of from a distance is pretty outstanding on the flip , hairs on my arms were popping up :) Bus remix is ok too, I pressume this is Berlin Bus but who knows? Yeah, the intro is promising in an Orb-like manner, but ya gotta love those ghetto ass hip hop/rap vocals that seem to continue for an eternity. I mean, what was I thinking!?!!? This is top notch psychedelia along the lines of U.F.Orb.!!!! Put the crack pipe down, son. This is some god-awful shit. I don't think aftermath is horrible, but it really not that mindblowing of a tune. The rhyme bustin' really just grounds the track even more....I mean, she's talkin bout juvenile shit like smokin weed...as much as I love my reefer, my weed references need to be done in a much more subtle way...for example the sample from Spanish Castles on Live 93... I've tried listening to the tune over and over cuz i thought i was missin g something, but I'm really not. The "rapping" is just not very sincere... I can't wait til the orb comes full circle to the point where they're doing more Orbvs Terrarvm stuff again....I think White River Jvnction might be my favorite orb track hands down....It might be the bitter sarcasm of "listen to the radio". (which I think is a tape beatles rip-off) Wow. I think I'm drunk....listen to more Gel-Sol music! Yer pal, Gel-Sol www.gel-sol.com
"Listen to the radio" was used repeatedly throughtout "Plateau" when i saw them in '95. That was a mindblowing performance! -r where are the concert reviews?!? --- gel-sol@gel-sol.com wrote:
