Hi guys. Just finnished getting my grubby mitts on the new blue album by Orbital, and as with that of B&T, I was impressed but bloody frustrated at the same time. I'm a huge fan of both Orb and Orbital and appreciate both for their technical merit when it comes to their music, however both groups appear to have gone on a tangent. Dunni know if music itself is evolving, but the work is leaving behind the very essence that got me listening. Does anyone know if the methods of production itself is changing? I dunno; it sounds slightly more linear if that's a good way to describe it. Ignore me if I sound ignorent and un-educated but had to ask.
