Since no one else is stepping into the breech... A white label, simply put, is a record without a printed label (usually they just have a blank white label, natch). They can be promos, bootlegs, test pressings, or simply short-run private pressings where someone didn't want to pay for proper labels. Collectibility is up to you; white labels are often worth a premium over a "regular" version of the same pressing, but not always. Personally, I avoid bootleg white labels, but have no problem with buying white labels of "regular" releases at reasonable prices.
