Interestingly, I emailed Christine a few weeks ago, and she mailed my Bob 14 four days ago. It arrived yesterday, from England, along with a copy of Bob 6! They must have run out right after I got mine? -- Brian brian@frickster.net
Even more interesting, after hearing from Christine that they were all out of Bob14's, I emailed her back in complaint (a rather rude one, too.) She responded letting me know that they'll 'look around for one.' With every email to badorb, I've asked if this is it. If badorb is no more. I've never received an answer. Has anyone else? Not even a SOLID one. Let's ask Nibiru the monkey carver... Wasn't he in the orb or something? -----Original Message----- From: orb-admin@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-admin@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Brian Frick Sent: Tuesday, November 26, 2002 5:22 PM To: orb@mailman.xmission.com Subject: [Orb] Bob 14 Interestingly, I emailed Christine a few weeks ago, and she mailed my Bob 14 four days ago. People, abusing Christine probably isn't the best idea. She's the one trying to get people what they're owed, and probably had nothing to do with the debacle. Save your abuse for management (who earned it). ;) She was extremely helpful in getting my subscriptions paid off, and quite quick; I had my stuff in less than a week. Also, she basically gave me the full value of my remaining subscriptions in merchandise, and BadOrb/Deviant ate the shipping (which was substantial when you factor in the mugs, 3 double CD sets, a T-shirt, and BOB14, all Airmail to the US). She didn't outright say BadOrb was dead, but more or less agreed when I said it. Also, the word from LX, via Gavin, was pretty definitive. Since it doesn't look like they are ever going to put the BOB14 mp3s that I paid for actually on the site, does anyone have a hook-up? ;) BTW, does anyone know if Kompact has a website. I tried googling for it, but didn't turn anything up... Chris np: Quazar - flightrecorder
Let me know when you get that contact info for badorb management so I can send my regards... -----Original Message----- From: orb-admin@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-admin@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Chris Johnson Sent: Tuesday, November 26, 2002 7:23 PM To: orb@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: [Orb] Bob 14 bi11i wrote:

I'd heard of the Orb years before I actually got into them. I used to subscribe to this Pink Floyd Fanzine in the early `90's and every so often they'd mention the Orb and how the two bands were alike in ways of their experimental approach to music. As well as Orb remixing Rick Wright, and Guy Pratt being an unofficial member of both bands. Finally in `96 I came across Orblivion and bought it. This was the first electronic music I'd ever heard and fell in love with it. I was just blown away with all the different sounds and textures, it was like an acid trip without the acid. I went right out and bought Orbvs Terrarvm next and was hooked for life.... -Chris in the Fluffy Cloud state np: Orb- Freely Wheely
