It's appropriate that you mentioned Patterns and textures, because the original live version is one of my favorites. It doesn't have all the extras that they added in the studio later, but it's quite good. I think it's on "The Pulsating Sound Of the Orb" bootleg. Very good sound quality too... Personally, I'm particularly fond of the SF Maritime Hall show... but I could be biased for personal attachments reasons (since I was there, and it was SO amazing). They really did seem to play an infinite version of Perpetual Dawn, which is my absolute favorite!! =) rachel ------------------------------------ Rachel's Orb Discography http://www.migoto.com/orb
I agree... I remember hearing Perpetual Dawn start and everyone freaking out. Then it just kept morphing forever... FINALLY finishing with the familiar Perpetual Dawn notes with me thinking, "Oh yeah, that is what I have been listening to..." Did anyone catch the Orb show at the The Warfield when they were touring Orbus Terrarum? They had this gigantic balloon that they kept adding things to during the show. I think they were making some sort of face. But then again, I had a lot of interesting things to eat that night... dj monolith --- "-> rachel" <rachel@migoto.com> wrote:
