sorry to ask a stupid question but in the ufoff cd notes there is a comment which reads: u.f.off u no who u r that is that all about? did a quick serach of the archives and the period around 1998 but did not find anything. did see a great post by xenlab on people bitching about the orb changing and said people wishing lx would release more music circa 1991. was a long post but his point was very valid - sure the orb has changed/evolved but why bitch about it. if you don't like the new stuff don't listen. i personally like the old stuff better (see earlier post) but will still check out anything lx involved as i still apperciate what he has done and is doing. same goes for the limited stuff i have found involving thrash. smk the post headline: From: "{_ e r i c _}" <xenlab@???> To: <orb@???> Sent: Tuesday, November 19, 2002 9:04 AM Subject: [Orb] To all the haters! i believe it refers to the orbs problems with record labels etc, ie not having an album ready and being made to release a best of, when there already was one released called Live 93.
Let me just echo the sentiments of everyone else who has posted about this show - it was absolutely brilliant!!! The opening act was well worth catching - they definitely have a unique sound and were really good. They played a 2.5 hr set here - I think I had home town advantage - and worked in a lot of old material, some Tino Corp, and I noticed that Ben Stokes was using some clips he used in EBN. Best show I've seen in a long time... Definitely get tickets if they're coming to your town. =) rachel ------------------------------------ Rachel's Orb Discography http://www.backsideoftheorb.com
Yeah, I was thinking they played for at least 2 hours here in Portland, but I wasn't sure if my perception of time was a little off ;)

Due to the 'perception vs. time' ratio they could easily have played a two+ hour show =^) -----Original Message----- From: orb-bounces+nothing=ultraworld.org@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-bounces+nothing=ultraworld.org@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of JASON HICKS Sent: Sunday, June 12, 2005 1:07 PM To: orb@mailman.xmission.com Subject: RE: [Orb] MBM in SF Yeah, I was thinking they played for at least 2 hours here in Portland, but I wasn't sure if my perception of time was a little off ;)

Yeah, rats, I meant to see if any listees would be at that one. Very good show, some tracks would kind of get redundant but then they'd hit with another wave. Encore was great - started with House of God - wow. Attendees like logs though - most not there to dance obviously, extremely varied crowd.... Unbelievable amount of content off Satyricon (my favorite) - Original Control AND Edge of No Control - Helter Skelter - aforementioned Teenage America - God OD - jeez, it just went on and on. T

I saw them in Beaumont Texas back in 1990 at a club called Phaz 2 and Ethal Meatplow was the opening act. They played for over an hour and a half. I hope that they make it to the Boston area so I can catch them again.
