Ok, who agrees that that is THE WORST remix the Orb has ever done?
That most dubious distinction definately goes to "What goes on in your mind" on the Aubrey #1 album... i think most will agree.
No way I say it's a time between Marathon "Movin'" (man that song is lame) and Dave A. Stewart's (or is it Candy Dulfer? Amazon is confusing me!) Lily Was Here, why on earth the Orb remixed smooth jazz garbage like this is beyond me, I've literally heard the original in dentists offices before. If you're talking about Innersphere- Out of Body "It's like being paranoid, without the fear", I rather like that one. Most ill advisedly sought after remix ever: U2- Numb (Deaf and Dumb Mix?) some of waited years to hear this one, only to find out its a boring wankfest a la late period Autechre, oh well (I assume that was your work kwissy?) sometimes being a Orb dork doesn't pay off. _________________________________________________________________ Learn how to choose, serve, and enjoy wine at Wine @ MSN. http://wine.msn.com/

I'm sure this remix does suck...but I haven't heard it. does anyone have a copy of it on Mp3 that they could share? I'm still aching to hear it. I remember the guy who bought it from Alex, but I never knew he made copies of it for people, didn't the "stolen" acetate go for $600 or something like that? Jon

Alex ended up playing it in a couple of his Groovetech Teatimes. I don't remember which one(s) offhand, but I'm sure someone extracted it and posted it. Chris
this is a fresh can of worms to open...*sniffs*... "...a la late period Autechre". well this may be the case, but this was remixed in either '92 or '93. so maybe ahead of Auctechre. though i like them too! :) "Movin", i liked. reminds of the late '80 house music movement, but with an Orb touch. these usually turn out better than the original. also can't think of one at the moment that i dislike. -r --- JASON HICKS <ikki1@msn.com> wrote:

I remember a song called "Freedom Fighters" but I don't remember if it was an Orb mix or a KLF thing... Other than it got annoying quick "Secret Smile" by Semisonic is better, but still resembles the original too much. Gavin __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! IMHO Secret Smile is one of their best remixes post Andy Hughes. It has humor (annoying sounds at the end of the track) and melancholy of the original. I confess that after that, I became a Semisonic fan as well... JC
