Hi, Is anyone out there on the list having trouble with Kazza. I have just reloaded with Kazza Lite, the programe downloaded ok, installed ok, but when you click on the icon it does nothing. Can anyone help here?????? Regards Mark W.
in response to mark weston... Watch out using Kazzaa... about 8 weeks ago I had to stop using it because it was putting a *virus* on my computer every time (pc version, of course)I quit the program (mcafee security center alerted me each time, though, and cleaned the file- and further scanning was never necessary, it seems it never got a chance to spread). Don't know if the 'virus' was simply spyware or not, but I just don't trust K. anymore and I quit using it. Record labels have begun poisoning P2P networks in an attempt to bring them down completely. My advice: find a friend who runs linux and download stuff from *his/her* computer! (BTW, this is my first post to 'yall! cheers~ I hope to not habitually make post this long, but...) What are the chances someone would be up for setting up a private network (like KDX) specifically for sharing *Orb*/related stuff between us all in a protected, private, and secure environment? I was invited into a little 'secret' encrypted KDX network based out of France and it's quite nice.... I'm sure there are some among us with some *stellar* collections; although I loathe mp3's, and I'm sick of not being able to make a decent cd with them (gaps between tracks, etc.), I don't know of any other way to get some of this stuff. At the very least it would be easy to set up, or maybe FTP. (In fact, my little orb list can be found at my corny fan page: http://compassionat.net/orb.htm - maybe someone here can help me out with getting some of the things I'm missing!) yours truly, elliott in portland, OR ===== **********compassionat.net**********

eBay often has most of what you are looking for...but it can get pricey. Luciana in particular often goes over $100. For a list of Orb material, see Lazlo's and Rachel's discographies. Lazlo's is more for trainspotters, while Rachel's is more for crate diggers (it is also much more recently updated). http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?orb http://www.migoto.com/orb/ In any case, both are incomplete; I regularly find stuff that isn't in either, but is mostly trainspotter-only or brand-new material. (And yes, Rachel, I'll be sending you another update in a bit.) ;) Chris
Well, I hope this isn't the case but I have to say I'm feeling a little concerned about the disappearance of Badorb.com, not the website but the fact that all the phone numbers are now unobtainable those for Deviant too, and other list members have had emails bounced back. I bought a new £170 subscription which started with Bob14, which so far I have not received (Tog14 neither). The last email I had asked if I wanted it refunded, to which I said that I would be happy for them to hang on to it as I may not be able to afford it when things started up again. I heard nothing back and have not had any replies to further emails asking what is happening. Badorb.com was put on hold to improve the service I thought, not to leave people in limbo. As I say, there may not be any problem at all, and I'd like to think that after 10 years of buying Orb records they wouldn't do anything like that. Has anyone else had any money refunded, received there Bob 14's etc or received any form of communication recently? Phil.
