FW: [Orb] RE: Orb Digest, Vol 22, Issue 6
LOL. Yeah, bud, I'll take your word for it! a) I seriously doubt LFC was "mess" without "Kwis'"contribution! Album version - written by paterson/glover produced by youth/paterson mixed by youth/paterson engineered by thrash/hunter Aubrey version - (supposedly this was orginal version, disallowed for too much sample usage, if I understand correctly - this is admittedly anecdotal from a DJ friend who discussed it with LX) same as above except no engineering credit and remixed by pal joey Seems the credits are pretty thorough and fair, considering "Thrash" shows up plenty throughout. b) My error on the writing for Terrarvm. I thought he left between Fritz and Terrarvm, but checking now, "Weston" appears all over the credits, and checking interview archives, LX said: "Kris, as a writer, is all over the record, along with myself and Thomas Fehlmann." So, now, the question becomes, why the hell would someone leave such a project? I mean, shit, apparently the Police all hated each other, and I'd have to guess Sting was really the center of all that, but couldn't they put that shit aside? Sting without the Police is only slightly better than Alan Wilder without Depeche Mode (or DM without AW, for that matter). And - I guess Weston wouldn't have had much to sue over since he did get credit! Apparently the song in question is "Montagne D'Or." LX: "Andy actually appears as a writer on 'Montagne D'Or,' but Kris couldn't get his head around the idea that it had derived from another track and that the other people involved should get a credit. In the end we gave him a writing credit, because he was in the studio when pedal-steel guitarist B.J. Cole was putting his licks down!" c) Toxygene rocks, along with pretty much every Orb track. If this really is the Thrash that was involved with the Orb, he should be proud to have been a part of it, as well as regret leaving "Baldy" and crew. However, project contribution that ended ten years ago does NOT give one license to be a brainless twat and expect to get away with it. i didnt make little fluffy clouds i only programmed the mess they had into something intelligible... more production role if you like... and mixed it - and it was a truly awful mix sonically err by the way terrarum was more my album than alexs fer sure they stole one of my tracks for that n all.. hmmmm.. it was called zombie originally but they nicked it and called it something else cant remember which one it was... and thomas put all these shitty keyboards over it and not only that edited them up wrong... i could have taken em to court but bollox couldnt be bothered that did make me laugh though :-)))
by twatty fairground music i mean toxygene...

oh god.. yes hmm im sure someone else would have cleaned it up without me being there assuming they had even some mild form of musical ear... the LFC demo was in 3/4 and they didnt even know they had sampled up steve reich and some nilson or something break and steve was in 3/4 and the break was in 4/4 and they keyboard riff they laid down was in the wrong key the steve riff was shifting chords and the key riff was in the same key i'd say that needed cleaning up! ask greg if you dont believe me hes next door although i doubt he would come out for such mindless tedium... he always says i was the producer and i shoulda got a credit i couldnt give a fuck i hate it anyway __ kwis )) (( c[_] scuse the epenthesis ***************************** On 8 Dec 2004, at 19:16, Tim C wrote:

Funny how your insults are so clever as to involve my mother, sister, and felching - what's next, calling me a nigger? Oh, wait - how about Fag? God. Fuck. Head. Like I say, I'm sure that your juvenility is making it quite clear to all the Orbsters on the list that while your (again, assuming you're not some Internet loser/baiter) music may have been great, you're really an insufferable little brat in the end.
