I saw them live in the late 80's and they were fucking amazing. Their whole light show was two massive disco balls with white spots and smoke. They're the only band I've ever seen that deliberately overdrove the p.a. Didn't they also do this thing where they recorded music onto cassettes and passed them out to 30 different cars who then played them at the same time as loud as they could. I've got the 4 cd set that you're supposed to play in 4 different stereos at once but I've never had enough boom boxes in the same place to do it. Some of their stuff lately has been way too poppy for me... until I turn it up until the amp clips real hard.
