Actually, I've been on this list since before 2000, but remain in lurk mode a great deal. As for me I've seen the Orb put on well in excess of 10 shows starting in June 1990 and most recently on the Cydonia tour, and can safely say the last one i thought was phenomenal was at Glastonbury 1993. The best were the ones at Brixton Academy in the very early nineties, where Thrash was not only present, but also probably largely in charge. I just think that while Kris can be extremely antagonistic, the fact that he comes here ought to tell you something - perhaps he can be engaged. I cannot imagine another list where a crucial member of the band from their most creative period would remain a persistentlyuntapped resource. No, I'm not a thrash groupie, and I don't want to antagonise this board, but I just find it all a bit odd.
Well if you remember his original post he attacked for trying to "make money off his name" because I mentioned that he had an engineering credit on the Blue Pearl CD I'm selling on Ebay, which hardly seems grounds for him to get his panties in a bunch. And like I said, I think the only way to "engage" the man is to give him a taste of his own medicine and dish it back to him, I really do think he enjoys it. I do value his contributions to the list, but that doesn't mean that he can't be a jerk and that we should silently endure his abusive rants because we are all so mezmorized by some brilliant music he produced a decade or more ago. You really didn't think the Orbus Terrarum tour with live drums and bass was phenomenal? Wow, I feel sorry for you.
I thought that he was taking the piss! :-)
