Does anyone else on here get these messages ? from destroyads.com? i get one every 5-10mins a large pop up ad in the middle of my screen that you have to close - on it is a link to go and buy their product so i dont get their messages anymore! $24 - i have to pay them to stop sending me frigin messages!! what a cheek !! AAAARRGGGeeieuu # can you beleive it?? its like me going up to someone's house and posting fireworks through their leterbox - then ringing the doorbell - and saying - "I can stop this from happening! just give me some money!!" anyone know about triggering high voltage spike's through the net,so i can blow up their main office? obviously my version is more violent - but this has been going on for months!!! cheers !

You running Kazaa by any chance? If so, then it serves you right :oP You might try running Ad Aware to hunt down and kill the spyware that seems to have infested your machine. http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/ Peace. Mick
Theres also a little file in system/etc that tries to resolve hosts (XP) If you put any address in this file it doesn't even look up dns just ignores it... That sort of bypasses pop-up killers I find the more bloated you get with all these little things The more capacity there is for error.. Ghostsrf is wicked too though.. Ghostsrf.exe Anonymous surfing pop up killer ad killer spyware killer etc... Can go through like 28 anon hubs that are constantly updated Its pretty cool... Check out www.smartin-designs.com for more info on using a hosts file in Windows. Very effective in getting rid of online advertising. While it won't stop a popup from appearing, all that you'll get is a blank window.
