i've got the Numark EM-460 with the Kaoss pad onboard and I have to admit that it's not all that it's cracked up to be. The realtime effects and the pad itself are really cool, but one thing I've noticed (and I've been through the EM-260 and 360 as well) is that when assigning a channel to the kaoss pad it one, turns the volume either up or down as soon as the button is pressed and two, eliminates the stereo signal from the channel. The effects themselves are pretty cool but I can't imaging using my mixer in a live show and then pressing the button to assign an effect to it and have the volume chopped by a third. yuck. as a toy, though, it's pretty neat. i'd highly recommend the em-360 to any beginning dj. the 460 has enough channels for me to hook up not only both of my decks, but my sampler, mc-307, and two cd players if i wanted to go that route, plus a mic. has a nice onboard light, too. i thought i read a review of the kaoss pad by alex somewhere, anyone remember where that might have been from? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? i've got the Numark EM-460 with the Kaoss pad onboard ... more a reflection of Numark's integration of the device i run mine in the effect loop off a Behringer board (albeit, not for DJ) with no lack of control current performing kit is a nanoloop , zoom phrase sampler, elektrix filter queen (noisy bitch *she* is) and the kaoss the koass actually does a nice job of hotting up the gameboy
i thought i read a review of the kaoss pad by alex somewhere, anyone remember where that might have been from? does lx use the free standing model or the numark? my guess is that he uses the delay patches alot.

What I'd like to get is a nice multi-channel DJ mixer with FX sends and returns. I got my EFX500, and it does great stuff, but with my current mixer, I have to effect the output of the mixer. I'd like to be able to add fx to one input (or another input) and still have clean sounds not effected. I have an entry-model Numark mixer (my x-fader is starting to crap out finally though). It has 4 inputs, but 2 are selectable, so I can only mix two inputs at a time. I'd like to mix 4 inputs (at least) and also be able to send them to FX sends... ANy ideas folks? and for nanoloop... I bought two old gameboys (both working) this past summer to try out nanoloop. is it worth it? -ben
Oh Yes!
