True.
I still like some traks of the new Orb material, but i used to love *all* of them at the period ~1990-1996. OKay, music evolves, bands evolve. So never mind.. :-) It is better for a band to evolve and change their style than that they keep on repeating themselves over and over again and become sellouts (we all know the examples).
We just have to appreciate the fact they actually continue to release stuff, dont we?

I think they are just different people 15 years later with a different view on things (or maybe it's just Lx at the hub with his view on things). The output reflects that. Of all artists, I imagine The Orb would have less hassles sampling legitimately. There's probably a certain street cred that goes with having them sample you. Who knows. Either way - it's a new style, love it or hate it. (In my case - I'm leaning towards the latter, though I still feel this need to continue buying the releases. Hmmmm.)
