See I burn lots of cds for friends, however I burn live shows/dj sets for people to get them introduced to the artist, if I don't have a live show of theirs then I'll do basically the same thing you do... Thank you Thrash for being willing to share your music with us here, and personally if I like an artist (such as yourself) I'll buy their album regardless of whether or not I can download their music for free...thats my 2 cents worth...
I've recently started burning copies of CDs for friends, on the condition that if they like it they have to buy it, and give the burned copy to someone else, with the same condition attached. If they like it, excellent, they'll buy a CD they wouldn't have done otherwise, and the artist gets one more fan and one more sale. If they don't like it, noone's lost any money as they wouldn't have bought the record anyway. Throw the burn in the bin, or give it to someone else with same condition. cap'n jon the moral pirate -- Please do not use this document as toilet tissue _______________________________________________ Orb mailing list Orb@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/orb --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!?
