That was it exactly. I don't think the people left as quickly but I wasn't paying too much attention, either. Funny thing is, I saw Aphex Twin - he did the same sit (not even see face really) behind his gear/monitors plus no lights etc style show - whether or not he was really playing much live, who knows - but man it was good. AND he played "Digeridoo," which I could NOT believe - thought he'd never bring something that old out. Of course, most people who had been enjoying the rest of the show stood around wondering what it was, while maybe 5 of us went nuts! T

Guess I'd have to hear it, which means I'm not going to since I was so unimpressed with the one I saw.
i was just talking about this with somebody else. I saw Ae in Chicago in 01... WORST concert I've ever been to. 75 mins long, 5 "songs" played that had no starting point, no ending point, no tempo, no rhythm, no structure. Ae also played with all the lights off in the venue, so all you saw was their unemotive faces glowing in the light of their laptop monitors. The audience went from nearly sold out to 15% at the end. There was no encore because anyone who suffered through it turned around and left right away. A small smattering of applause could be heard, but didn't last long. No way in hell would I pay to see that again. Gavin
