"Dr Alex Paterson's Voyage into Paradise" is very good album in my opinion. I also got "Liquid Dub. Volume Seven" which is also very good and also from Liquid Sound Design Records. So, can you point me to the albums similar to these records?? It should cointain long, dub and ambient tracks...
I'm a huge fan of just about every other Liquid Sound Design album out there. All are very dubby, although some more than others. Personal favorites are Elucidations and Mana Medicine. East of the River Ganges is excellent, too. Hicksville is not to be missed, although it's a little tricky to tell one track from the next. Picked up Unity Dub's Voyage into Paradise just recently, and it's pretty sweet too - more of a roots dub feel to it. Alex worked with Youth on "Dub Trees: Nature never did betray the heart that loved her." http://www.liquidsounddesign.com/releases/releases.htm On the psy-ambient side, if you haven't already, try Shpongle. I mean it. Go get Shpongled. Now! Twisted's got a downtempo label called Backroom Beats that has produced some excellent things as well - not dubby, but really nice, rich chill sounds. http://www.twisted.co.uk http://www.shpongle.com Hrm. I guess this came off as an advertisement for L.S.D. and Twisted. Ah well, they're the best, IMO. Enjoy! Mick
