I'm thinking about purchasing the 10 mp3 subscription to badorb.com, but I was wondering about the quality of the mp3s you get..
Does anyone here have that type of subscription or can give me more detail on it?
Do you get each song in a seperate mp3 or is it one mp3 with the whole bob album on it? Whats the bitrate?
Yes. 256 & 128 VBR of each individual track. You also get a spiffy certificate with tracklisting, credits, and access code. The certificates generally show up a month or so before the physical record. Unfortunately, rather than being made from the master, or a digital copy of the track, they seem to be made from the vinyl, with the associated faint noise. Overall, I think they are worth it, as buying them supports the band, it saves the hassle of making your own, and it shows a bit of good faith on everyone's part. I'd be happier if the tracks were sourced from better media, and I'd be willing to forego the certificate to speed up the process and cut the price. Chris np: my burner ;)
