You have to be kidding me! 90210? Trevor Rabin is horrible, at least compared to steve howe....I mean, yeah, Yes is often cheesy prog rock, but the Chris Squire/Bill Bruford combination is the real balls in any of their work. Time and a Word is a fantastic album, and not really a prog album. Beverly Hills 90210 doesn't even have trippy Roger Dean artwork.... I just bought the remastered version of Close to the Edge, and anytime I read about classic-era Yes, everyone seems to be sucking Rick Wakemans cock. He is terribly cheesy....all the time....and drunk. As far as keys go, I always thought Tony banks from Genesis wrote some really cool shit (Gabriel era). I'm more of a guitar man anyways. Gimme Bob Fripp and his laser guitar sound anyday.... I forsee a new coming of prog rock in the next coupe of years....Radiohead is sort of like a prog rock band, cept they dont have the chops and they suck. Has anyone listened to Yoshimi battles the Pink Robots by the Flaming Lips? I think that might be comparable to prog rock, without the over-indulgent guitar/keyboard solos. Now you may huck things at me... Yer Pal, Gel-Sol www.gel-sol.com
Now I have to dig out that Yes album with "Owner of a Lonely Heart" on it.
You mean 90125, the only Yes album worth listening to.
*ducks*
