Miles was a great example of space and phrasing That eminem mix is just .. well,, what? Eh? Its pretty shite isn't it? And the vocal is 3ms ahead of the beat in some bits... heheheh maybe my head isn't tuned to the right frequency I bet gavin likes it... In fact ap and friends could shit inna bucket and he'd like it innit/... Mind you no debating that obnoxious little twat is very talented His rapping style is , well I love it personally... Its just a bit of a shame its all been watered down by the constant peanut flavoured remixes produced by everyone and their second cousin twice removed.... Missy is the queen bitch! Happy Christmas everyone!!! You could probably give it a little more space. I think it was Charlie Mingus that said it's not the notes that are important, it's the space between the notes. Also I couldn't understand the vocals. I'd leave the fx like they are but bring the dry vox up a few db. This is often a problem with stuff you've worked on for a while: you're so used to hearing what she's saying that you still hear it even though to a new listener it's buried behind the fx. Other than that keep tweaking and arranging. I wouldn't make it much longer, though. If you're going to add some other parts in you should take some sections out. While we're on this, I've got a remix I did of the new FSOL song up on acidplanet. I'm going to pull it down either tonight or tomorrow because I'm going to enter it in a contest. Before I do, though, does anyone have any suggestions for it? http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?PID=225430&T=791431 _______________________________________________ Orb mailing list Orb@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/orb
