Hello all... So I may be looking at a great opportunity of getting a good job in Germany. I currently live in California, USA. The job would be in Rellingen which I guess is near Hamburg? Please correct me if I am wrong there :) So... Seeing that I have never been there, I have some questions I was hoping that someone experienced could answer... #1. What is it like there? Some general impressions. Is it cold all the time? (or how long is it cold?) Are the people nice? Can I get away with not speaking any German? #2. What is the electronic music scene there like? I know there's some psy trance MEGA festivals like Full Moon and Voov. Good clubs? Ambient scene? #3. Is the rest of Europe fairly accessible (+affordable) via rail? Could I conceivably go to France, Amsterdam, etc. on the weekends? Forgive my lack of geographical knowledge here :-) I am not opposed to flying either and have heard that is very cheap as well. #4. How's the health care? I have heard there is a ban on all vitamins and supplements (the "Codex" bill) and that Dr's have to prescribe them now. Is that true? Is the health care pretty liberal otherwise? I am used to America where Dr's never get to the ROOT of the problem but instead throw lots of expensive pills at the symptoms. Same thing over there? #5. How's the food situation? Can I get all sorts of ethnicities (Japanese, Thai, Chinese, etc) as well good health food stores, etc.? Forgive my ignorance here! Just never been to Germany or Europe for that matter... Basically any overall general impressions and/or info for someone who doesn't know what the hell he is getting himself into would be very much appreciated.... :-) Thanks! _jason_ _________ ________ _______ _____ ____ ___ __ _ _ _
