Shoegazers? Don't even think about not mentioning the all important MY BLOODY VALENTINE. Oh, and the first time I heard the Orb? It must have been in '92. It was at an all night party in the Mojave Desert hosted by E.O.M. I wouldn't call an E.O.M party a rave, it was more like a comfortable outdoor chill room than a sweaty dance floor. The location was amazing, a natural rock amphitheatre set up with projections and lights. Lots of people lazing about. A music project I'm involved with was to play that evening (Lecanoscope)along with three other music performances. Once the sun started to set, the DJ began playing LFC. The perfect piece of music to go with the perfect surroundings. The clouds in the sky actually did appear to on fire... The Orb's Little Fluffy Clouds kicked off a truly memorable night. ... www.metabolicmusic.com
