OI that’s my x girlfriend your talking about mate watch it ….
And as for the orbs album mixes.. take for example
Whats that track… toxygene I mean what a
load of bollocks…It was fucking hilarious
When I heard it I could hardly believe
someone could release
Such a shit mix and try to pass it off as professional
What a joke! Mind you fluffy clouds aint much better…(sonically
wise)
But now they got that zippy bloke… things
are a changing
I *do*
like some of his stuff… but i never heard
EDM?!?!?
I think It was Zippy who wrote saying it
was good…! (the guy who composed it)
Hmm maybe I’ll search it out…
I heard them at the royal albert hall a while ago
With some stinking hippy bands and they
were playing the same old shit
I don’t mean shit some of it was
great but we’re talking *was*
like 10 years ago *was*
They played a few new tracks but basically
it was the same like I remember..
But with some bloke called bitchman mixing it up ..
I then got accosted by their wanker agent alex
nightingale
Telling me to step outside and that I shouldn’t
have come and drunk a beer with them
(although simon/alex/etc didn’t seem to mind that much)
(I wasn’t exactly smashing up the
backstage area)
And if I did come the least I could do was
bring them a record of mine
Apparently it would have been ok for me to
come if I had brought a record ..
And also apparently it was nothing to do
with the fact that I had a kid
With a girl he went out with for two weeks
once and couldn’t get over it ten years later
Or the fact that the amount of methadone
he had consumed in his life
Had riddled his sad brain with madness
I ‘m off to listen to Gillian Welch….
Alex night-in-jail?
Like I said – bingo hall 6am.. be there…
Mm that doesn’t sound very Buddhist…

I'm definitely a fan of Cydonia. Basically, every single track, except
Once More, that has a singer on are a bit below par, but the rest is definitely
music for my mind. In fact, tracks 2, 4, A mile long lump, Terminus and
the rest are definitely among my favourite tracks the Orb have produced- what
someone said a while back about EDM live is also very very true- what a
phatty!!- It's like a modern day Outlands- but on the record- I'll avoid it. So
there.

that loved Cydonia? I especially loved the leaked demo version (I thought it
was sequenced better and some of the mixes were more interesting...) I got off
of Napster right before it died. (A moment of silence for the best file sharing
service ever...) Cydonia's radically different from all that came before it but
I don't think that's a bad thing. I just thought I'd fish for opinions on this
album. It's weak in places but still has more than its fair share of
brilliance. And I'll be at my local record store buying the next one that comes
out without hearing it, probably. And I'm completely enamored of the Thursday
Tea-time shows as well (thanks you guys!). One or two days a month I walk all
day putting flyers under doors for my contracting company and they're such a
treat. So are the fabulous live shows... gush gush gush.

>Which brings me to
Soulseek. I haven't had a lot of success with this program. The searches are
very slow and often don't work at all. The program itself seems to malfunction
quite often. Of course, that could be my computer but it still blows. I tried
Win-MX but it's very complicated. Just when I started to figure out Audiogalaxy
it went south. I used to run Kazaa-lite but it's so variable. Frankly I feel
something like the CR ftp is the best all around. The users' taste in music is
so fabulous and I've learned of a bunch of artists I probably never would've.
It'll be sorely missed.

>If any of you have
advice on making Soulseek work well or lists of users (can you search for
individuals like Napster? I can't figure that out with Win-MX) or stuff like
that, please post them.
