i've got the Numark EM-460 with the Kaoss pad onboard and I have to admit that it's not all that it's cracked up to be. The realtime effects and the pad itself are really cool, but one thing I've noticed (and I've been through the EM-260 and 360 as well) is that when assigning a channel to the kaoss pad it one, turns the volume either up or down as soon as the button is pressed and two, eliminates the stereo signal from the channel. The effects themselves are pretty cool but I can't imaging using my mixer in a live show and then pressing the button to assign an effect to it and have the volume chopped by a third. yuck. as a toy, though, it's pretty neat. i'd highly recommend the em-360 to any beginning dj. the 460 has enough channels for me to hook up not only both of my decks, but my sampler, mc-307, and two cd players if i wanted to go that route, plus a mic. has a nice onboard light, too. i thought i read a review of the kaoss pad by alex somewhere, anyone remember where that might have been from? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
