extra beer at bm = good, crap beer is fine giving someone even slightly chilled beer will win you friends for life and get you on many a flame spouting artcar. Freezing coolers is a great idea, dry ice is also a great idea, it stays colder longer we used it to chill veggies for the duration last year (9 full days)... we would keep ice frozen with the dry ice then transfer the ice. Some friends of ours brought a deep freeze last year and put it on the generator about 3-6 hours a day, it stayed refrigerator cold unless it was opened too much. I took a laptop and it survived, hell im listening to bob13 on it right now :)... You just have to be really careful. I kept it in a gallon ziplock bag and only took it out for use inside the 'clean' motorhome after washing up. A friend of mine had a webpad inside a ziplock and used it without opening the bag at all. Music gear tends to be harder to seal off with more moving parts, only bring the stuff you don't care at all about. For the love of god, don't forget earplugs. Oh and I hope you like psy-trance... after three years at bm i never want to hear it again. Last year we woke our portion of the playa up every morning with selections including The Ramones, Jurrasic 5, They Might Be Giants, Megadeath, Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis, Diane Krall (sp), Babel Gibreto, Dick Dale... hell almost anything but electronica. We've never seen so many people happy to be awake, we got alot of praise for playing something other than electronica. People get sick of house and trance about 20minutes after hitting the playa imho. Best party i went to last year at BM was a ShowTunes Rave, and i dont even like showtunes. If you need any more suggestions feel free to email me. I'm on the fence this year, economics and a girl are conspiring to keep me at home, or perhaps in the mountains for the duration. I've been to Burningman twice. Don't bring any electronic equipment unless you can afford to have it completely broken down, cleaned, and rebuilt when you get back. The flat, white playa is an extremely corrosive alkaline dust that gets into EVERYTHING! I wouldn't even recommend taking your own vehicle out there.
