My main complaint is kind of a strange one, and I'm wondering if it's happened to anyone else ordering from Badorb in the States or elsewhere. The first time I ordered a Bob subscription, I entered all my credit card info and all that and sent it off. A few hours later I got a call from my credit card company saying that a transaction posing a "security risk" had been processed in the U.K. and they wanted to know if I had authorized it. I told them I had and that it was all legit, and they said they would "allow the transaction to proceed." So it comes time to resubscribe, and I decide to use my other card so there wouldn't be any panic attacks from the company this time. Wrong again. I get the same types of calls, blah blah blah. Bizarre... Anyone else have this kind of crap happen to them? I've placed orders with Warp and other British-based websites, but this is the first time I've ever had anything like this... s.levering@tcu.edu -----Original Message----- From: Jonathan Wakely [mailto:cow@compsoc.man.ac.uk] Sent: Wednesday, July 10, 2002 7:58 AM To: orb@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: [Orb] Bless You - What Gives? Does anyone fancy copying this to someone at BadOrb- for their own sakes they should begin to take notice of the mounting criticism that is here at a core fanbase- I dread to think what an 'average' Orb punter would make of the website.
hmmm..... this might be a good idea. however, there is no way to send them feedback indicated on the site. at least, not that i have found yet.
sales@badorb.com is the only address i've ever had a response out of i forwarded them some fixes for some broken CSS on one of their pages and they said they'd send it on to the techy people - haven't checked whether it's been fixed but they do respond to mails at that address. -- "Sell your cleverness and buy bewilderment: Cleverness is mere opinion, bewilderment is intuition." - Jalal-uddin Rumi _______________________________________________ Orb mailing list Orb@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/orb
