I have to disagree. Yes, the first edition Auntie was in mono, but the Auntie Aubrey 2 in Ultra records are really cool. Some mixes are different from the previously released remixes (Can, Rick Wright, etc...), so I don't mind if the tracks are mixed or not. On the Auntie 2 different tracklistings in US and UK, only the die hard fans like us (like me) would want the two releases for one or two different tracks. It was the same thing later with the Bad Orb compilations. JC Le 25 févr. 09 à 02:50, Michael Thomas a écrit :

Then you could mix it together yourself. That's my point. If the tracks were separate, I would be able to listen to them separately AND mix them in any order I prefer. As it stands, I cannot enjoy "Fast Forward The Future" without "Higher Than The Sun" coming in at the end. What if I don't want to play "Higher Than the Sun" at the end?
Us fans on the Orb list talk sometimes stir up a conversation about the most "problematic" Orb release. I would have to say these Auntie Aubrey albums are the flubs of the catalog. I am glad that they exist, I just think they are Alex's biggest flubs. Mono mixes, all mixed together...different versions from one release to the next....instead of a "third" release so as not to confuse even a big fan like me - Even different versions between the U.S. and U.K. versions....what a mess.
I'm not even a fan that most of the Ultraworld Aubrey Mixes album is mixed together as well. Those tracks were, at the time, unreleased Orb mixes, and I would rather have the album as separate tracks. Orbscure Trax is most likely the best Orb compilation I can think of...it was a promo AND not mixed together.
So...studio albums are one thing....but compilations shouldn't be mixed. Give me the rare tracks, or let me save my money.
For what it's worth, my two cents... Michael _______________________________________________ Orb mailing list Orb@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/orb Report list abuse to list-abuse at studio-nibble.com
