Well well- that's sad news about BadOrb- I've gotta agree that there were serious short-comings in the way it was managed though- it's a shame it never really got the attention it deserved- but then I suppose that that's the problem with having reclusive Internet-only releases. The Orb once commanded such a mighty power in the electronica world, and intentional or not, they've let it slip from their hands. I would love to go to a 'massive' Orb show- early to mid ninties style- but this doesn't really seem a likely prospect anymore- so- if the desire is there- how are the Orb to get back to the forefront of the minds of the sort of people who would love their music? If the Orb were on a label like Warp- they would be totally suited- and they would regain so much credibility and popularity. Now there's a thought.
In the meanwhile- I can totally understand anyone not wanting to go to Houston airport- I can honestly say that that's the most disgusting airport I've ever been to (and that includes 3rd World airports in Africa and Asia!)- no offense to you obviously decent Orbian Americans- but for a Brit, that airport personified far too much of what the outside world loaths about middle America.
Finally- I'm going to Underworld in Brixron Academy this Saturday- is anyone else going/ caught any of their shows in ths States? Will it be phat or what?
Easynow.
