Ok. What about Kate Bush. Hounds of Love is one of my fav vocal albums of all time.

I think both Sarah Mclachlan and Tori Amos are both good, but owe a lot to Kate Bush.

Whos the chick singer in My Bloody Valentine? More good stuff.

Hooverphonic is another example of decent female vocalage.
