Hello All! At work today I went into our show room to work on some games, and decided to play some tunes on the on-line Jukebox we have on display. I searched for Orb, but their album art wasn't to be seen, so I used the search feature it's equipped with. Lo and behold, every studio album they released in the US is on it! I couldn't believe it, so I played all of them from start to finish. Adventures, U.F.Orb, Orbus Terrarum, Orblivion, Cydonia (no EDM of course)The show room was rocking out to the Orb until no earlier than 3 PM! What is this jukebox I'm talking about? It's a wall mount jukebox with a touch screen monitor that is basicly a computer with a hard drive that stores MP3s of artists. It holds 100 albums as a default, but if it's connected to a phone line and the registration is paid, the jukebox offers a download feature from Rowe's server of over 10,000 artists. If an artist is selected for download enough, the jukebox makes that title a permanent album on its hard drive. Also as the jukebox is used for a certain amount of times, it changes albums in and out based on a location's popularity of certain artists. I've gotten a few in on trade that had nothing but R&B artists, but most come in with classic rock and country. While its on freeplay, it's now my goal to make the one on the showroom more (dare I say it) "Electronica" friendly. I searched for other artists and found Massive Attack, Orbital, Primal Scream, and Underworld. So the next time you see one of these Jukeboxes go and download Orb.
