Staying on topic for a moment, has anyone heard this new song 'The Land Of Green Ginger'? Maybe on a radio show or something? Well. This is almost as much fun as the arguments that went around after Thanksgiving at my grandma's house. I've got a "born again" uncle who has thrown in with the far right despite the fact that three years ago they would've locked him up for the rest of his life... And I still say this beats the hell out of getting twenty one-line e-mails per day that say "Where's my BOB/TOG XX?" "I talked to _______ at Bad-Orb and they shipped my BOB/TOG XX." "Has anyone else in such and such a place gotten their BOB XX?" It was like that EVERY FUCKING DAY for months and nobody bitched about it. How in the hell is merchandise shipping on topic?!?!? I think the argument of being offtopic should (and really has been with only two exceptions) be suspended until the sabers stop rattling. This is scary shit and it helps to know there are others out there that stand with you, or at least will argue against you. Bush and co. don't argue. They just march on and call you a traitor if you question them. Here's the thing(s) with Shrub: 1. He was not elected. 2. He works via bait and switch. Nothing that comes out of his mouth is straightforward truth. 3. He's a spoiled little hunched over baby that tries to pretend he doesn't have a silver spoon in his mouth. If you like dancing all night to "weird" music like the Orb, then you are an enemy of the conservatives. People like you might use mind expanding drugs or you might have sex outside of marriage or you might feel that sexuality is ones own business and not that of the government. Anyone that disagrees with the right-wing fundamentalist Christians that are usurping power in this country belong in jail in their opinion and they're going to do everything they can to put you there and keep you there for as long as possible. I plan on fighting the conservatives until they rip the pen from my cold, dead fingers. This country was founded on liberal values and the best results for all the people have come from liberal initiatives. The Interstate highway system, rural electrification, social security, Medicare, welfare, progressive income tax, desegregation, and much more. The conservatives have brought us one recession after another while their paymasters have become richer and richer at the expense of the rest of us. If you make less than a quarter of a million dollars per year you are a fool to think the right wing is helping you in any way (though what they SAY sounds like they want to help everyone, what they DO helps only the ultra-wealthy). And even if you are amongst the top 5% of income in this country, by dragging down the bottom, eventually the whole pyramid collapses and you'll end up in the crap just like everyone else. Anyway, I say we kidnap the lot of them, take them into the forest, force feed them shrooms for several weeks while naked young girls dance about them to the music of the Orb et. al.
