Never quite got around to messaging you lot on my thoughts from the launch party. Was quite fun seeing everyone in the white hooded suits, but once out of the bar and reception area, (which had some nice trippy laser spot colours in red and green running over everything), it kind of felt a bit like a gimmick in the main room. The visual on the screens were great, but didn't really get much feeling for the visual beamed onto the crowd. The set was great, with a few oldies mixed in with BB and a couple from the Dream. I really enjoyed it and was much better than when I last saw Alex at the KOKO club a couple of years back. Funny story for you from the gig - I got to meet Alex and Thomas afterwards, which was a first for me in almost 20 years of being a fan. Thomas was very considered to speak to, softly spoken and very polite, even a little shy. Alex was in a right strop though! Someone at the bar had failed to produce his pint of Guinness whilst he played and he took great offense to working all evening with no refreshment as his rider! I offered to buy him a pint but he stormed off to sort it out for himself. I got to meet them both again later on when they were outside. Alex apologized to me for being in a mood and offered me his joint to share with him! We chatted whilst they both signed my BB cd for me - Alex's message read "LX & Guinness Love !" did make me laugh. Will remember next time to make sure he has a pint in his hand after a gig before I go to talk to him! I really like the 6 mix by the way, kinda reminds me a little of the gig. __> Justin / Gimberz
