Hi guys I have flac copies of the 2CDR 1st edits sets on my PC somewhere. They are my own EAC rips from my original copies of the promos. I am one of the 3 people who owned this on discogs not long after it was released. I will have a look at the facebook site Johan. Let me know if anybody wants flac copies and I will try & upload them somewhere. I do have access to Soulseek. If anybody wants to grab them from there let me know. I also have EAC rips of the 40 minute mix and an Orb half hour mix titled Heilung Geschieht (Healing Happens) which was intended for James Hayman's XFM radio show but never made it to air. Thanks for the Version 1 & 2 uploads Smiley. I would love to get flac copies of those 2 if anybody has them. Hi Smiley, I have your recordings from the first promo, I think it was about the first or second post you did after I joined this list aeons ago! Good to read that your wife is cancer-free now, sad to learn that you’re out of a job right now. If you’re into selling stuff, I’m always interested. For all you Facebook-people: there is an active Facebook group named ‘The Orb Mixes And Remixes’. We have recently started to make a shared site of Orb related material, mostly promos/demos, live recordings, radio shows et cetera. I’m sure that there is an overlap between this group and the Facebook group but it doesn’t hurt that this is advertised here as well J. We currently use Mega and have about 80 to 90 gigs of material! Credentials are shared between the members of the Facebook group, so please join!!! We have some interesting members: Tom Green, Steve Hillage and a Swiss guy called Thomas Fehlmann ;) Brian has recordings too and offered to make the recordings available. I’m quite sure that there is a lot of material out there that’s not yet in your possession, I discovered a lot of unknown material myself! We intend not to share commercially available material by the way… Regards, Johan Van: Orb [mailto:orb-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] Namens Smiley Verzonden: maandag 6 april 2015 15:00 Aan: What were the skies like when you were young? Onderwerp: Re: [Orb] Cydonia pre-release versions: anyone got good recordings? Yeah, I can rip my cdrs of these at a decent bitrate (320kbps) and upload somewhere this afternoon / evening for you. Man, I wish I still had this: http://www.discogs.com/Orb-Cydonia/release/668898 ...but I had to sell it (admittedly for an amazing price) when I was in financial straits a few years ago - redundancy, wife with cancer, etc. The picture on discogs is from my ebay auction. Wife is now cancer-free, but I was made redundant again recently and have decided on a drastic career change (into football / soccer coaching), with a significant reduction in earnings, so may well have some orb-related goodies up for sale soon... Subject: [Orb] Cydonia pre-release versions: anyone got good recordings? Hello again, I was wondering if anyone has a decent recording of Cydonia promo CDr’s that went out before the album was finally released in 2001? I am in search of these: http://www.discogs.com/Orb-Cydonia-Version-1/release/669216 ["Cydonia Version 1"; internal promo; Oct 1999] http://www.discogs.com/Orb-Cydonia-Version-2/release/1302022 ["Cydonia Version 2"; internal promo; Dec 1999] There are versions floating around on Soulseek, but they all seem to be multisourced (different bitrates, different tags) Thanks in advance for any info!
