I'm sorry* but there is no depleted Uranium in the bombs. Uranium is in armor piercing shells. It's used there because Uranium is incredibly dense and hard (a chunk the size of a brick weighs over 40lbs!) so it tends to plow through other materials (as opposed to lead which goes "splat" on hard surfaces or steel which becomes one with other steel...). Civilians in Bagdad and other cities should be much more worried about the explosives in our warheads, the toxins created by the fires these bombs create, and the anti-aircraft munitions and missiles being fired upwards (they've gotta come down somewhere).
