IMHO, the "official" version of Mile Long Lump of Lard rocks all over the earlier version. I like the way LX and co. cleaned it up so we could actually hear the samples instead of a big wall of distortion. Sure it could have been longer, but after hearing it live (which was based on the "official" version) I'll always think of the track as a great way to start a show.
BTW Orblivion is my third favorite Orb album behind Ultraworld and U.F. Orb, I thought it was a remarkable return to form. Cydonia is definitely uneven but has several outstanding tracks that make it worth owning, i.e. Promis, Terminus, and Thursday's Keeper.

Ooh man, i couldn't agree more! That version is by far better than the one
that appeared on Cydonia.. The Cydonia version is not 'fat' sounding as it
should do. And is less rough sounding.
Why they desided to apply a different mix is a complete MISTERY to me.. Or
