I'm reserving final judgement until I've got a copy of the CD and a loud sound-system, but by-and-large I'm finding this album to be a wasteland. There are a few highlights, Dilmun and Abstractions I enjoyed particularly. Gee Strings would be nice if it evolved - a nice base missing a necessary magic ingredient or something. The rest I found sadly tired and forgettable. Oh, except that first track, which is just terrible. It's been echoing in my head for two days now, I can't seem to shake it. Kinda making me sick. Last time this happened was with that damn "life after love" track by Cher - just because it's catchy, doesn't mean it's not crap. Sounds like nothing different from the large volume of unoriginal "electronica" being produced today. Worse, in some places, due to a leaning toward boring, unoriginal house. I really wanted to like it! Peace. Mick --- 'This is total war. We are fighting a variety of enemies. There are lots of them out thereВ… If we just let our vision of the world go forth, and we embrace it entirely, and we don't try to piece together clever diplomacy, but just wage a total war, our children will sing great songs about us years from now.' -- Richard Perle, The London Mirror 2002-01-29
