My first idea was : - to ask the Orblist members if they could be interested to travel to Europe for a possible Orb convention. (email Rachel and she will put you on the list - it won't cost you ANYTHING right now and it's just a poll, nothing more) - if we're 100/200 (500 would be better) members to say yes, it's not completely mad to ask Garphoo : "We would like to book Badorb artists. Is it possible ? How much that would cost us ? We're fans and this show will be for real fans". -Every year, Marillion, Prince do that. For the Prince celebration, he has 1500 followers. I don't think LX & Co are THAT greedy. Of course, Orblist members meetings around the world are also cool... JCFromParis

It's a cool dream, but not really realistic. ;) The Orb Convention must be in UK (to cut costs for bringing >artists, mainly English and European).
I didn't realise that the 2003 event was intended to have big name bands. Who is paying these costs? No offence but this sounds more like a "cool dream" to me. I thought that we were just getting a bunch of crazy orb fans together to play CD's in a field - "Orbstock - 2003"
In defence of my cool dream: 1) cut price tickets from Europe to Australia are advertised everywhere, 2) we don't need any big named bands, but they are certainly welcome (there was a hellova turn out of European bands at the last African Eclipse), and 3)I always though Alex liked visiting Oz in the summertime.
Anyway, maybe you are right, but I cannot wait until 2003, so see the rest of you at both events. (I'll e-mail individuals nearer the time with our groups details)
