nope. The opener was Atmospheric Audiochair @ Metro August 11, 1996. LX was there though. I haven't found a tape of the MBM set from this show, but one of LX (albeit poor quality) exsists. Sun Electric opened for the Orb @ Metro on July 19, 1997 (hottest show I ever attended; way oversold the venue)

Yeah, you're right - damn memory- guess I'm getting old! I actually never knew the name of the opening act in 96 - thanks for that bit of info! It was very hot in the Metro for that show in 1997. I was back by the bar alternating between beer and water. -matt
