They are sound banks for the FM7 made by native instruments You install FM7 and then you can load the sound banks into it Simple! That’s it ! Fm7 is nice though Has much more possiblilites than the dx7 due to its 15 operators or something when the dx had only 4.. something like that .. I dunno im not really up on fm that much... I think these are preset banks for the Native Instruments FM7 softsynth VST. You'll need a copy of FM7 to load these banks and emulate the DX series. Maybe someone else that has FM7 can elaborate.

you get lil floppy like cards or??? basically it just tells those old FM synths how to program various sounds. if it's universal for all those machines--it's prolly the real basic 4 channel stuff (man it's been like 15 years since I worked with those old yahaha's).....
