So how many other people did you spam?
Didn't spam anyone. Maybe veggie-burgered someone, or maybe veggie buggered someone, but didn't spam anyone. Spam's greasy and gives you gas, and god knows what it's made of, so I never touch the stuff.
Wrong. You spammed this list. It's one thing to liquidate your collection to fellow enthusiasts, or to give your community first crack at a deal, and another to handle it like you did (a few extortionately priced items buried amongst the dross of your "store", without the courtesy of a direct link, or the forthrightness of a posted list of items of potential interest).
$125 for Orbscure Trax? $50 for Toxygene?
Yep. I averaged numbers on ebay the last four times I saw each item went up and that's what they came out to be. I did consider what these same things sold for at OM in the Village, but they didn't really change the figures. But that's where those numbers came from.
Forgive the bluntness, but given your statement above, you are lying or *severely* obfuscating. I track Orb stuff on eBay daily, and your prices haven't been reflected on eBay. Period. Nowhere even close. In fact, the last two copies of Orbscure Trax sold for $5.50. Each of them. The Toxygene promo goes for about $5-$15. Consistently. If you cherry-pick the highest prices over the last 4 years, you *might* be able to get within 50% of your prices; but I doubt it. <snip a whole bunch of rationalizations, and more spam> Feh, again. I didn't mean to turn this into a shit-storm, but if you can't see why your behaviour might have been offensive/inappropriate, particularly on *this* list, you might consider stopping and thinking before posting. I'm all for the free market, but this sort of thing sticks in my craw. For the record, my opinion is that anyone should feel free to post anything reasonably on topic, but realize that doing so invites response and commentary from the rest of us. (And thanks for reinforcing my opinion of GEMM, and those who sell on it...haven't had a good experience yet.) Chris (not going to post on this subject again) np: The Orb - Live 11/27/93
