(an Orb has four corners..?...) don't you like 'live 93' and pomme fritz? I think it stands up very well over time. Maybe it didnÂt bring in any new fans in 1997, but the old fans loved it. I have read sales were disappointing. I think it was overshadowed by Fat Boy Slim, Chemical Brothers, Moby, and Aphex Twin as electronic music finally stormed and conquered America. Now ten years on (if you can believe it!) I would argue that Orblivion is last great Orb albumÂit stands even with the others as a classic, helping to define the Orb sound, with Ultraworld, UFOrb, and Orbvs. (an Orb has four corners..?...) Plus the sound really is amazingÂgreen ink or notÂit is pristine, clear and subtle. It gets better every time you listen to it. --------------------------------- From: orb-bounces+daverosbooth=rogers.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-bounces+daverosbooth=rogers.com@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Tommy Vastine Sent: Friday, June 08, 2007 8:39 AM To: What were the skies like when you were young? Subject: Re: [Orb] New Orb album It's interesting to see how many people on this list like Orblivion so much now. I have always loved this album but I remember back in the pre Cydonia days I was definitely in the minority. Nice to see so many others enjoying it too! Let's hope they knock this next album out of the park! Would be nice.
