Anybody out there know how well Dolby Surround survives the MP3 encoding process? Do you need a certain bit-rate so that it preserves the out of phase portion correctly? I ask as all my albums are ripped onto my hard drive for easy access and listened to on a Pro-Logic amp. The rear portion still seems to be there but how accurate would this be? Anyone else have any experience with this? Ffwd was the first released album with surround I believe I haven't mixed anything in it since I'm not that bothered to be honest But I might I like melodies and weird sounds and drums better... Regardless of whether it is or not, it still sounds good in surround sound. _______________________________________________ Orb mailing list Orb@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/orb _______________________________________________ Orb mailing list Orb@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/orb
